Adults

There is no age for orthodontics. The biological process that takes place when we displace teeth during orthodontics is the same in children as in adults, so it is never too late to move your teeth. However, an adult cannot be considered as a big child. In adults the differences are:

  • Growth has stopped.
  • There may be associated diseases, such as periodontitis.
  • They may have lost teeth, have prosthetics, bone alterations…
  • Devices are crucial for adults, they require more aesthetic orthodontics.

At the Naranjo-Acosta Clinic we specialise in adults and especially in “periodontal orthodontics” (orthodontics for patients who have gum problems)
