What does the first visit entail?

The first visit is very important, because that is when we decide on whether any type of treatment is required or not. This decision is based on the age, problem, severity, growth stage and condition of the patient’s new teeth.

What are the steps required before beginning an orthodontic treatment?

Before the treatment we will perform a personalised diagnostic study to outline the treatment plan and to decide which device is the most suited for the situation.

In order to perform the study we require information, which we will obtain from: the medical background, face and oral-dental exploration, studio models, photos (inside and outside the mouth) and a series of x-rays which, among other things, will help to assess the bone condition. We will arrange an appointment for a week later to explain the treatment plan and to show you the devices that we will be using.

You will be given a cost estimate, the treatment plan and an informed consent form in writing which you will need to sign, and then we will be ready to begin treatment.

How much will the treatment cost?

The cost of the orthodontic treatment will depend on the type of treatment and devices that you need. However, the patient will always know the total cost of the treatment before we begin, and once the estimate is approved, it will not be modified. Payment will be made in instalments.

Can the orthodontic treatment finish before schedule?

Yes, our advice would be:
· To go to the scheduled appointments regularly and in time.

· To maintain good oral-dental hygiene.

· To be careful with certain foods.

· To cooperate with all the instructions that you are given.

· To take care of your devices, if the brackets come undone, the treatment period increases.
